Ayatollah Khamenei Makes Donation to Free Needy Prisoners

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has donated 10 billion Rials to help free prisoners who are in need.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei offered the amount, which is roughly equal to $37,000, to the Diya (Blood Money) Organization.

The money will help to release those prisoners who have committed involuntary crimes.

Every year in the blessed month of Ramadan, a ceremony is held dubbed “Golrizan” across Iran in which people will offer their donations to help needy inmates.
