Tehran Municipality’s Quran Centers Resume In-Person Programs

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Quran centers affiliated to the Municipality of Tehran will soon resume their in-person programs and activities, an official said.

Seyed Hossein Mousavi Baladeh, the executive head of the municipality’s Supreme Council of Quran, told IQNA that given the easing in coronavirus restrictions, the Dar-ol-Qurans and other Quranic centers will offer in-person programs.

He noted that that there are currently 11 Dar-ol-Qurans affiliated to the municipality.

They hold Quran teaching courses as well as cultural and arts programs, he said.

Mousavi Baladeh also said that some 34,000 personnel of the municipality have so far taken Quran teaching courses offered by the centers.

He referred to budget limitations as a barrier to development of the centers’ Quranic activities and expressed hope that the problem will be resolved with support from related bodies and officials.
