The one-day event has been organized by the Iranian cultural office in Beirut on the occasion of World Philosophy Day and scholars from Iran, Lebanon, and Tunisia will give speeches.
Iran’s cultural attaché to Lebanon Dr. Abbas Khameyar will open the session and professor Khanjar Hamiyah of Lebanese University will give a lecture with the topic of “the end of philosophy and the start of thinking”.
Tunisian lecturer Dr. Mohamed Salah Ayari, who specializes in philosophy of quantum mechanics, will talk about “philosophy in the post technology era; fighting for continuation of technological progress or returning to old principles”.
Maryam Maryamzadeh, a translator and researcher, will host the program.
The seminar will start on Thursday at 15:00 CET and will be available via Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
