Imam Sajjad’s (AS) Intellectual Heritage Discussed in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The intellectual heritage of Imam Sajjad (AS) was the theme of a forum held on November 8 as a part of the second edition of “Tarateel Sajjadiyyah” International Festival in the Iraqi holy city of Karbala.


According to the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine, the scholarly program was organized at Khatam Al-Anbiya Section of the holy shrine.





A number of researchers, religious and academic figures, authors and intellectuals from different countries participated in the forum.





The papers presented in this program focused on “Sahifa Sajjadiyya” and “The Treaties of Rights”, the two valuable works of the infallible Imam (AS).





“How to Read The Treaties of Rights” was the title of the first paper presented by AllamahHussein Kurani, Lebanese researcher.





Seyyed Jamal Shahrestani, supervisor of this edition of the festival said that the forum was held in two sessions in the morning and evening with the participation of scholars from various Islamic schools of thought including Maliki, Zaydi, Hanafi and Ja’fari.





The presented works will be published in a collection to be distributed among the guests to the festival, he added.





Two of the papers were in English and one in French.
