Veteran Quran Activists to Be Honored

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 9th edition of the congress for honoring Iran’s Quranic figures will take place this Friday here in Tehran.

21 Quranic figures and veteran Quran activists will be honored at the event, which will be organized by the Dar-ol-Quran Organization.
Winners of the national and international Quran competitions in the current Iranian calendar year (ends on March 21) will be among those whose achievements will be acclaimed at the congress.
They include Vahid Khazaei and Mohammad Javad Mohammadimajd who, respectively, came first and second in the recitation and memorization categories of the 5th International Holy Quran Competition for Muslims Students
The competition was held in Tehran on January 1-4 with the participation of Quran reciters and memorizers from 47 countries.
