Netherlands: Quran Copies Distributed to Explain Islam to Non-Muslims

IQNA – Dutch translations of the Holy Quran were distributed in several cities across the Netherlands to familiarize non-Muslims with Islam amid the growing interest in the religion.

In a bid to promote intercultural dialogue, the "Why Islam" unit of the Muslim Perspective Foundation organized an outreach event across several Dutch cities on King's Day on Saturday.

The initiative, titled "Invitation to Islam," involved distributing Dutch translations of the Quran and informative brochures about the religion to non-Muslims.

The event, which took place in city centers during King's Day festivities, aimed to educate attendees about Islam, Anadolu Agency reported on Sunday.

Bekir Ekinci, the Rotterdam unit head, stated the objective was to cultivate an understanding of Islam.

The outreach was well-received, with Ekinci noting that at least five individuals chose to convert to Islam, indicative of a broader curiosity about the faith in the Netherlands.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the initiative, with many looking forward to exploring the Quran further.

The distribution stands, set up in 15 cities and aligned with King's Day celebrations, attracted a varied crowd.
