Kuwaiti MP Urges Teaching Islamic Studies, Quran Separately in Schools

IQNA – A proposal has been submitted to the parliament of Kuwait on teaching the Islamic Studies subject separately from the Holy Quran subject in all educational stages.

Member of Parliament Muhammad Hayef has submitted the proposal.

He clarified that the proposal aims to give the students a chance to study and memorize the Holy Quran thoroughly and learn how to recite its verses properly.

Hayef pointed out that studying the Holy Quran develops the students’ capabilities.

This is especially the case in terms of training their brains to recall the information systematically, he stated.

Kuwait is a Muslim-majority Arab country in the Persian Gulf region.
