Quran Competition Held in Ukraine
According to ukrpress website, the Office for Ukrainian Muslims' Religious Affairs cooperated in holding the Quranic event.
This edition of the competition was held for two days with the participation of 65 Quran memorizers aged 6 to 40.
Half of the participants
were from among the Ukrainian citizens and the reset were expatriates.
40 percent of them were female taking part in the women's section of the contest.
Memorization of 2, 5, 10 and 15 Juzes (parts) of the Quran and memorization of the entire Quran were the categories of the competition.
The Friday prayer leader and preacher of the Islamic Cultural Center of Zaporizhia, preacher of Al-Salam Mosque in Odessa and imam of the Islamic Cultural Center of Kiev were members of the committee supervising the competition.
The Cultural Islamic Center of Kiev hosted the competition.
