TEHRAN (IQNA) – A book entitled “The Political Heritage of the Quran” has recently been published in Germany and distributed in different countries.

‘The Political Heritage of Quran’ Rejects Any Link between Quran, Extremist Ideologies

Seyyed Hussein-Ali Mousavi has written the book in 380 pages to defend the Holy Quran’s progressive views in political and social fields.

It is also a critique of the ideologues of extremist groups that call themselves Islamic, the author says, according to Fars.

Mousavi says the book also discusses Islam’s political history and elaborates on Shia political thought.

In an introduction to the book, we read: Unfortunately, today some intemperate groups like: Al-Qaeda, Taliban and especially, the newborn barbaric ideology of ISIS (Daesh) have introduced themselves as real followers of Quran, but we believe they are not anything but some insurgent gangs among underdeveloped societies in Islamic Community (from western Africa to the eastern Asia, and especially in Middle-East). By reading this book, everyone, especially researchers and academic experts, and even government authorities, will be able to have a better chance to distinguish those groups’ real identification and goals.
