ICHTO Showcases Rare Quranic Items at Quran Exhibition

Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) has displayed rare Quranic items in its pavilions at the 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition.

According to Amin Arefnia, the organization's public relations officer, rare Quran manuscripts, the oldest copy of Nahj-ul-Balaqa written on pottery, and Quranic works dating back to the Safavid era are among the data-x-items showcased at the pavilion.
On display will also be two pages of the largest Quran copy in the world. Ali Akbar Emaeil Ghuchani's work measures 250 by 175 cm.
Visitors to the pavilion also learn about the libraries and museums of the Holy Quran in Iran and other countries.
Arefnia further said that the ICHTO plans to organize a forum at the Quran exhibit on the use of Quranic verses in traditional arts.
The forum will be held at on July 11 with the participation of a number of scholars and experts in the field, he said.
Arefnia noted that 12 papers on the holy month of Ramadan will be presented by prominent anthropology scholars at a seminar at the exhibit on July 13.
The seminar will be organized by the ICHTO's Cultural Research Center, he went on to say.
