Over 2,000 Summer Quran Centers Active in Jordan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Jordan’s Minister of Awqaf (endowments), Islamic Affairs and Holy Places said there are more than 2,000 Quran centers active during the summer season in the country.

 

According to addustour.com, Muhammad Al-Khalayilah, the minister said at the graduation ceremony of the centers’ students that the ministry tries to raise a generation based on Quranic and Islamic virtues.

He said that there are more than 2,000 summer Quran centers in different parts of the country actively working under the supervision of imams of mosques, male and female preachers and experts in Quranic and religious fields.

The ministry pays special attention to the disabled and tries to hold special Quranic programs for this group as well, he added.

Also, the director of Amman’s Awqaf Office said that the ministry aims to support Quran memorizers by organizing the summer Quranic courses and religious competitions.
