Mohamed Badr Hussein’s Quran Recitation at Cairo Mosque (+Video)

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Mohamed Badr Hussein, who was born in 1937 in Egypt, was among prominent Qairs of his time.

 

 

He was born into a family of Quran reciters and memorizers in 1937 in Egypt’s Gharbia Governorate.

At an early age, Mohamed started learning the Quran by heart and then Quran recitation.

He graduated from Al-Azhar Islamic Center in 1968.

Mohamed joined Egypt’s Quran Radio in 1961 and then became a Qari in the state TV in 1963.

In 1970, he came first in a contest in Malaysia named the best Quran recitation and memorization in the world.

He also attended many international events and served as a member of panel of judges in international Quran competitions.

The following features his recitation of verses from Surah Al-Qiyama (75) of the Holy Quran at an ancient mosque in Cairo.
