Jordanian Quranic Society Holds Seminar on ‘Prophetic Medicine’

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 76th periodic seminar of the Miracle of Quran and Holy Prophet’s Sunnah Society in Jordan was held with the theme of “Prophetic Medicine”.

According to al-Ray news website, Mashhur Qutayshat, a scholar at Jordan’s Mutah University, was the main speaker at the seminar.

He cited several Hadiths by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) regarding medicine and health and said based on the Hadiths, moderation in eating and drinking is the key to avoiding illnesses.

The scholar also elaborated on a number of other teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on how to remain healthy and prevent diseases.

Prophetic medicine is the advice given by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with regards to sickness, treatment and hygiene as found in the Hadith, and the writings undertaken by scholars to collect and explicate these traditions.
