Tehran to Host Int’l Conference on ‘Gaza, Symbol of Resistance’

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 8th international conference titled “Gaza, Symbol of Resistance” will be held in the Iranian capital on Tuesday.

 

The Society for the Defense of Palestinian Nation will organize the event in cooperation with Qods news agency.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, representatives of Palestinian resistance movement groups and a number of other political figures are expected to take part in the conference.

It will come a few days after the Gaza Day.

January 19 has been designated by the Iranian parliament as the Gaza Day in the Iranian calendar.

The day was named in the aftermath of the resistance put up by the residents of the coastal enclave in the face of the full-scale Israeli invasion which led to Gaza’s victory in the 22-day Gaza War during December 27, 2008-January 18, 2009.
