TEHRAN (IQNA) – Turkey’s international Quran competition will be held on May 19-28.

Iran will have two representatives in the international Quranic event.

Seyed Mostafa Hosseini will compete for the country in the category of Quran recitation, according to Fars.

In the category of memorization of the entire Quran, Mostafa Esfehanian will be Iran’s representative.

They two have been selected from among top Quranic activists of the country who attended the 10th edition of a program held by a committee tasked with assessing the qualification of Qaris and memorizers for dispatching the best to international contests.

Last year, Mehdi Gholamnejad and Saeed Aliakabari attended Turkey’s Quranic event from Iran and Gholamnejad won the fourth rank in recitation.

In 2015, Iranian Quran reciter Habib Sedaqat came fourth in Turkey’s Quran competition.
